The Bar-Kays: The Finest Of is a compilation album by the American soul and funk band The Bar-Kays, launched in 1976. The album options among the band’s hottest songs, together with “Soul Finger,” “Son of Shaft,” and “Holy Ghost.”
The Bar-Kays have been fashioned in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1962. The band’s authentic lineup included James Alexander (guitar), Ronnie Caldwell (bass), Phalon Jones (drums), and Ben Cauley (trumpet). The Bar-Kays shortly turned one of the vital standard dwell bands within the Memphis space, and so they quickly caught the eye of Stax Data. In 1967, the band signed with Stax and launched their debut album, Soul Finger.
